The team at TWA has plenty of experience in negotiating the resolution of contentious disputes.
Where the courtroom is required, we are very pleased to have two new litigation specialists.
We've all worked together before, so we know we make a great team.
Our new colleagues are collaborative and smart and we look forward to sharing them with our clients.
Kerry Puddle is joining our team as a Special Counsel. Kerry is a civil and commercial litigator with extensive experience acting for both corporates and private individuals. This allows Kerry to tailor his advice and strategy according to the needs of the client, and the nature of the claim. He has built up his experience working in boutique commercial and litigation specialist firms. Prior to practicing as a solicitor, Kerry was a Judges’ Clerk in the Auckland High Court for two years, and graduated as one of the top two students in his year at the University of Otago. Kerry has a particular interest in property litigation, but given that most civil litigation involves some form of property, that covers most things.
Grace Im joins us as a Legal Adviser on a part time basis. She will be assisting Kerry and the other team members of TWA with their practices. She has broad experience including in relation to contractual disputes, building defects claims, employment matters and regulatory proceedings. Grace has been involved with disputes at all levels from the appellate courts to specialist tribunals. She is also experienced in alternative dispute resolution forums such as negotiations and mediations. Prior to joining us, Grace worked in the litigation team at two Auckland law firms, one which specialised in large scale leaky building disputes and the other which had a strong commercial focus. Grace is fluent in Korean.
